NATIONAL CREATIVITY CHAMPIONSHIP BRIDGING GAP ON YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERI - UDOM IDONGESIT “The reason there is so much unrest and protest in the world today is because man has not yet learned to dig deep enough into the realm of his God-given abilities (potentials).” Corporate Social responsibility (Creativity Innovated) can help nurture, empower and contribute to Gross domestic Product (GDP) of Nigeria Nation, if the implementation is right; Making One Nigerian Youth Entrepreneur, One Person at a time! Emmanuel Morah Foundation a duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Nigeria on October 2, 2020 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium launched National Creativity Championship (NCC) in collaboration with various stakeholder United Nations Educational Scientific & Cultural Organization, Federal Ministry of Education, Federal Ministry of Youth & Sports Development and corporate institutions, youth delegates and media partners (Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Nigerian Television Authority, Voice of Nigeria, Lovefm, Leadership and Blueprint Newspapers. The opening session of the National Creativity Championship Grand Finale was chaired by Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya, Chairman Board of Trustee Emmanuel Morah Foundation and National Creativity Championship, and the Goodwill message was delivered by Nseno Emiem Repreentative of the Regional Director, UNESCO Abuja, and other notable speakers were Ibrahim Abdullahi, Representative to Director General- Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria; Mr Lekan Sowande of Voice of Nigeria, Sanni Kamar Hana of NIRSAL Microfinance Bank; Ms Tamara Ebiwei of Nigerian Television Authority; Mr Onyike Sunday of National Youth Service Corp; Mrs Muna Onuzo Special Assistant to the Special Guest of Honor, Honorable Minister Federal Ministry of State Education; Comrade Ikegwu David Chike Vice President National Creativity Championship; and Ms Idongesit Udom Director Corporate Communication National Creativity Championship. The founder of Emmanuel Morah Foundation and National Coordinator National Creativity Championship (NCC), Dr Emmanuel Morah stated in his welcome address, the need for combined efforts of government, individuals and organizations to identify and nurture the youths to greatness. He stated this at the Media Center Moshood Abiola National Stadium venue for the Inaugural Grand finale of National Creativity Championship with the theme: Raising the bar on creativity in Nigeria. According to Dr Morah, the National Creativity Championship is an initiative of Emmanuel Morah Foundation meant to inspire discovery, train, empower, recognize and promote emerging creative arts and talents from across Nigeria establishing new hope for the creative industry, resonate challenge within the young creative minds of Nigerian youths. He called on the National Leadership to resort to recognizing youth with creativity instead of amnesty to militant youths, stating that like NCC our motto is leveraging capacities for development, and called on all stakeholders, government, private sectors, non-governmental and non-profit organizations to come on board to making this most important group in any society (Nigerian youths) the leaders of tomorrow. Highlights of the event were, the official inauguration of members of the board of trustees, by the representatives of Regional Director UNESCO Nseno Emiem and the Director General Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Ibrahim Abdullahi; who enjoined the members: Chairman Khadijah Abdulahi-Iya, Alhaji Sani Magaji, Pharm. Leo Okafor, Hassan Lawan, Idongesit Udom, Comrade Ikegwu David Chike, Anthony Ifechikwu, Comrade Wale Ajani and the President and founder Dr. Emmanuel U, Morah to bring their wealth of experience to use. The event had presentations from Performing Arts and Delegates among whom were manufacturer of beauty, clothing and footwear product etc. The epic of the inaugural edition was the unveiling of the CreativityChamps Show, billed to showcase new discoveries, from the nooks and crannies of our dear country Nigeria. Presented at the Inaugural Edition, Pencil artist, Emmanuel Bamaiyi (17) Visual artist, Ezenwa Jude (22) Youth advocate Rap artist Markson Emeka Nwachukwu(26) 25 year old poet, Aniekan Emmanuel James and Talented graphic designer, 22yr old Miss Oiza Goodness Emmanuel who were outstanding.
